FAQs

Do you take my dental insurance?

We will happily bill any private dental insurance company. Even though we may not be a participating provider with an insurance company, we are available to see all patients regardless of insurance benefits. We are preferred providers for Delta Dental Premier.

Many patients are led to believe they must see a dentist who is in their network. However, in many cases, they are free to choose a dentist of their choice with minimal restrictions. Dental insurance can be confusing, please contact our office with questions that you have.

What do I expect at my child's first visit?

It is recommended for your child should see a pediatric or general dentist when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday. This visit establishes a dental home for your child. Early examination and preventive care will help protect your child's smile now and in the future.

The first visit is especially beneficial to the parents because the dentist will review topics that contribute to your child's oral health, including oral hygiene, diet and nutrition, and oral habits. Your child will get to see our office and meet our staff, which is especially helpful in preparing for future visits.

How do you handle emergencies when the office is closed?

If you are a patient of record and are experiencing a dental emergency, please call our office. If we are closed, you will be instructed by voicemail to leave a message. The dentist will return your call promptly.

Why do I need x-rays taken?

X-rays are an important part of the dental examination by the dentist. X-rays help the dentist see between the teeth and examine the bone around the teeth. Early decay can be detected on x-rays and the overall health of the jaw can be determined. Without x-rays, the dentist may not be able to properly diagnose problems in your mouth.
